Belém and the banking crisis

I have just received a newsletter from the Belém Foundation. Apart from the usual updates on where Belém is and what she’s doing, there is a note from the Foundation’s president, Paul le Bihan, thanking the French bank Caisse d’Epargne for their support over the last 30 years, and commenting that the Foundation  is now planning to broaden its sponsor base.

An essential move, and yet another repercussion of the current world financial crisis.

Belém has been used to promote the French company CTMV, whose business is the use of sailing craft to provide sustainable freight services. I’ll tell you about their plan to build a modern sail-driven small freighter soon.
